 Strongman Mikey Lane trains for the car deadlift event. The equipment is hand built built by Mikey and housed in a gym he has built from scratch on a local farm. 
 The unassuming exterior of A.P.E gym.
 Mikey follows a program of mobility stretching before each session.

 Mazikeen is a regular visitor to the gym and sits by as Mikey trains.

 Event training is regular and each specific exercise has its own pre-lift preparation.

 Dumbbells ranging from 0.5-105kg line the upstairs walls of the gym. 
 Each part of the body is trained.
 All the training is documented in detail. Every lift, the weight and reps. This helps build a training diary. 
 Assistance work is added after the main compound lifts.
 Outside the gym is used for events training. The equipment having to be carried outside each time.
 The yoke carry is another strongman event that needs to be trained rigorously. 
 Tacky is used when completing the legendary stone run. Notoriously difficult to remove. 
 Atlas stones from 60-200kg lay under a handmade stone platform.
 Cooling down after training.
