Snow fell across Scotland causing travel distruption for many. In rural areas of Perthshire the snow was deep enough to make roads impassable until local council snow ploughs and gritters managed to do their work .

With some areas recording temperatures of up to -16 degrees, it has been labeled as one of the coldest nights in a decade.

05/02/2021, Coupar Angus, Perthshire, Scotland. Local areas to Coupar Angus became flooded after persistent rain fall. With fields frozen the water had nowhere to soak away and caused travel distruption for many. With local roads becoming impassable due to flooding.

Having been forced to close due to the latest Scottish Government COVID 19 regulations, Glenshee Ski Centre is silent. Where in more normal times the slopes would be filled with ski and snowboarders enjoying the latest dumping of fresh snow. However, all that can be seen and heard now is the wind and wildlife, along with the hum of a single piste machine. With the ski lifts at a standstill with their seats swaying in the breeze, the centre hopes to be able to welcome visitors again soon. In the meantime, the centre is officially closed and has advised people not to travel there. The carpark has been blocked off and the centre has tried its best to discourage people travelling.

Nearly a month after lockdown measures were introduced in England, the streets of the Capital remained empty. The normally packed areas of Leicester Square, Oxford Street, and Piccadilly Circus, were instead ghostly quiet. Police officers patrolled the area both on foot and horseback, making their way along the empty streets whilst encouraging people to continue following the lockdown rules.

A number of groups came together in London to protest against Brexit.

The groups made up of the3million, UNISON, and British in Europe wore blue and yellow rain ponchos and tore up a list of broken promises before forming an EU flag.

Rally 4 our rights also held an event where a number of speakers spoke at three main locations. These were outside the European Parliament Liason office in Smith Square, outside the Home Office in Marsham Street, and in Tufton Street which is home to a number of Eurosceptic groups.

At each location, there were speakers who addressed the gathered supporters to cheers and applause.

Hong Kong supporters gathered in Trafalgar Square, London, to take part in an emergency protest against the Chinese Government.

The protesters were reacting to the the new anti-mask law that was passed on 04-09-2019 that bans covering faces in all public gatherings.

Protesters called for the UK and the World to stand with Hong Kong to protect their autonomy as part of the 'One country, two system' model.

Passers-by took interest in the protest and the protesters handed out leaflets and informed them of the situation in Hong Kong.
